Yes, there are two primary sizing schemes, Schedule 40 or IPS (iron pipe, PVC) and Copper Tube Size or CTS (CPVC, copper, PEX). So you need a Schedule 40 3/4" x CTS 1/2" coupling, but the part you linked to is a 3/4" CTS x 1/2" CTS coupling.

Sharkbite makes transition couplings for CTS to Schedule 40, https://www.sharkbite.com/products/pvc-transition-coupling but not reducing verisons. So as far as Sharkbites go you'd need to use two couplings and a short length of pipe in between (or else just use 3/4" PEX instead of 1/2" PEX). Not sure if another manufacturer has a single piece push to connect reducing CTS to Schedule 40 transition coupling.

Cheers, Wayne

PEX and CPVC and common copper pipe are CTS, so one of those could be an intermediate stage.

Sioux Chief 645X23Pcan make the transition the whole way.

You attach to the PVC with primer and PVC cement.
