Looking at the valves Oatey supply, it is likely the plumbing lines are soldered directly to the valves, thereby requiring some drywall removal for access to the connections.

They do seem to utilize some valves that will unthread independent of the supply such as this gas valve.

Perhaps only the handle has cracked and is no longer gripping the valve stem without slipping? If so, repair may only require a new handle.
