the hose goes into the wall - no water softener - and its on the drain above the trap -

I cannot open my windows without getting the sewer smell

The smell is coming from the bathroom sink when I open the windows ---- there is a strange extra hose connected above the trap - I think that must be the problem but I don't know does anyone know what the problem might be ? -------- I am attaching photos of the strange extra hose
