Hi

I have a toilet in my garage and there is access to a cleanout in the floor, see attached photos.

Looking for ideas for something to cover it.

What you want is called a drain frame and cover.
Local supply houses typically have...then you just have to be creative with quick setting cement.

I call it a "floor clean out cover" they are bronze and plated they arent cheap but thats what a professional installation looks like in public or commercial work. pops right up if google bury it in foam or plaster if you want to go cheap and easy Im sure with a little imagination you can get some other type cover to go there for a fraction the cost and look good enough for most people. In a garage we typicaly just put a " Tom Cap with flush plug" on thousands of newer tract homes from half million to a couple million dollar homes but we typicaly dont have a crapper on garage floor so your expected appearance could vary.

For an alternative, google this:
cleanout plug cover

You may be able to get a plug which has a screw hole made for the purpose, or just drill a hole in the existing cap, and use a self-tapping screw to hold the plate.

I expect there are other diameters available, but the search function on Home Depot is hard to use.

I was thinking that is a spot that is not near a walking path.
Maybe a custom waste basket could fit there and cover the cleanout.

thanks for your response. Where did you get the photo? That would work great, could you please send the link of the item in the photo?

Photo was from https://www.generich.com/grs/4-Plug-6-Plate-Cover-Set-P2565.aspx and I used it because it told the story well.

But the cover plate and screw and the plug are often purchased separately. I posted some links on some pieces, but there are a lot more.

Plus, given the depth of your cap, you could drill a hole in the existing cap, and screw into that.

Try Googling
cleanout plug cover
and then click images.

If you will buy a new plug, measure the OD of the threads of the old first. Also note that plastic and brass plugs are superior to steel plugs.

For example, if you need a 2 inch plug, the OD of the threads will be a little under 2.375 inches.
