Should I do some grading?

I just finished a project which left a pile of fill dirt next to a low area in my yard. There was some settling years ago (the house is fairly new to me) and sometimes a little water accumulates there.

Can/should I just pack that dirt in next to the house with a slight slope away from the house? I'd cover the old "sidewalk" but I'm ok with that.

The low area has the orange square around it. For now I'm not looking to do a major project, but if this would be helpful I'd love to make another dent in my drainage.

Typically homes have a 2% grade away from the home so that water drains away from the foundations. When I was building homes, it was interesting watching my subs on dozers doing their grading thing. I would also help with forming the concrete driveways and walkways.
Yes, take that dirt and fill in the low spot that gathers water. :)

Thanks Terry. It almost seemed too simple so I figured I should ask.

I probably won't get it as good as it should be, but it'll be a lot better than before.
