We want to put a small 6x8 ft bathroom in the second floor of our cottage - no water up there.
We have found a place to install a chase on the first floor from the basement to run water pipes and toilet drain.
The toilet and sink are to be on one side close to the chase, the shower across from the sink.
Will there be any trouble with installing a p drain under the shower? Where should the vent be?

The bigger issue is always the toilet with it's 3" drain.
The shower needs a p-trap, and depending on the joist sizing, could poke through the ceiling below.
The shower gets vented within five feet of a 2" p-trap.
