As I'm having a hard time finding a replacement for this toilet that will fit in the space available, I'm thinking about refurbishing it. The major issue is the flush valve. Should I go with the Kohler replacement kit which includes the triangular gasket or with a Fluidmaster kit which uses a foam gasket under the tank and bolts with rubber seals top and bottom? I would like to do this properly.

Thanks

Either of the two would work. It's a basic tank with three bolts. The Fluidmaster fill valve and flush valve work fine on those.
