The addition we are putting on our home includes three bathrooms so I am in charge of toilet shopping. Everything I have read would say get the Drake by Toto; however, there is one hesitancy. My parents have two toilets, one a Toto (don't know the model) and one a Briggs 4400. Needless to say, neither toilet is new; however, they are much happier with the Briggs. Has the Toto changed that much in the past 10 years so that today is truly is better than the Briggs?

Some builder put in the builder grade Toto.

Look inside the tank, if it has a ball on a rod, and a 2" flush valve, it is a builder grade CST703
I don't like those either.

A totally different animal is the Drake, with the 3" flapper and much better trapway.
