My Burks (10HNA-2 4gpm) pump froze and broke. I need replacement advice. This is new to me but I'll give all the information I know. Well depth is 121'. Static water head is 76'. The motor was a 1 HP Franklin Electric. It has a 2" well that was repair a few years ago with 2 jet leathers and 1" foot valve. What I need is a quality replacement and a place to purchase it. Thanks

When it comes to jet pumps I think Goulds makes the best ones hands down. For an off-set (pump not over the well) application look at the HSJ model, that lays over on it's side and makes it easy to adapt to the existing piping. Make sure you get the suction and drive piping plumbed in correct. With that deep of a water level you might look at the 1.5 HP model and I always upgrade the pump to a real regulator, not the cheesy ones that come with the pump. For some reason on the HSJ models the regulator is separate, but on their regular SJ series the regulator is included.

If you don't like the goulds the Sta-Rite MSE model is pretty good and you can put legs on them for an off-set application. The 1 HP MSE is really a 1.5 HP pump ( the motor is a 1.65 service factor) and should do OK with that deep of a water level.
