We have a vintage pedestal sink with original faucet in great condition. The faucet has about 2 inches of clearance from the wall of the basin so washing your hands or any functionality is limited. Went to replace it and my bf was having a difficult time getting anything off. After fully removing the basin from the pedestal, it seemed like the faucets etc wouldn’t come off without being cut out. It was all one piece. Does anyone have experience with this? Are we on the right assumption that the basin and faucet hardware were sold together and not removable?
