i found this picture on google, which is exactly like mines but cannot find anything else about it. i believe i have a burnt board on mines

You can call a local Clack repairman, or you can replace the controller with a different brand. Or maybe you can find something in the used market.

thanks for the response. i was wondering why i could not find any information on this, reading that thread definitely gave me some insight into that.

Do you know if any controller will fit on my tank? can i just buy a fleck and it should fit?

Probably, but not sure. The great majority of softeners for the home use a 2.5" x 8 tpi (thread per inch) industry standard. There is the rare exception that exists.

Inside, the distributor tube can vary. Most is 1.050 OD (same OD as 3/4 inch schedule 40 PVC pipe). Not all.

You may find something in the used market.
