Boiler - Doesn't need to be AI

Hello plumbing friends and experts!

Years ago I was stupid enough to install Peerless Pinnacle boilers based on eff hype. . I installed one for a neighbor, (who is still my friend.. LOL) OK so his is craping out again and has asked for a plain jane no major technology replacement (Im thinking Crown). It's been a while and would appreciate your feedback on current state of affairs of Crown vs, Dunkirk, vs Weil McLain. He is in South east Philly area, Typically I'd go with a Crown but been a while since last boiler install.

Yup. My attempt at levity. Peerless was ahead of its time. So much so it was too early. ;-/

Looking for tried and true chimney model.

Well as far as plain old cast iron boilers I don't think it matters. Whatever is supported in your area so you can get parts you need in emergencies.

Pick a brand that your comfortable with and supply house that reps one brand.
Might consider using a flue liner and a cast boiler a minimum 140° return temp.
