    Removing basement shower drain

We think it is a lead and oakum joint-he scratched the top and there was lead. How do we remove the lead and oakum?

    Removing basement shower drain

Jimbo-we are not sure if there is a castellated nut. Do we just pry out that brass ring? This is a fiberglass stall.

    Removing basement shower drain

We have to move our existing basement shower stall as it was so poorly installed and framed in. We have to remove the drain to get the stall out-how do we do this? The house was built in 1979. Looks like a brass ring with a rubber gasket. Do we need special tool, lots of $$$.... Thanks.
