Kitchen sink waste pipe sizing and other related questions
You actually need an inch and 1/2 trap and trap arm with a 2X1-1/2X1-1/2 Santee so it goes in 1-1/2 drains down into a 2" and the vent goes up 1-1/2. A 2 inch trap won't scour properly.- PPPlaydohhh

What is this in my sewer pipe
It looks like the second picture is one of those squeeze plugs that you have to tighten up a nut to get it to expand. It is smaller than the drain and just sitting there. I have no doubt.- PPPlaydohhh
