Is there code for flow rate at certain psi?

My house runs on city water at 50 psi static. I notice that when the water usage is at 4-5 gpm, the pressure coming in at my house (there is a pressure gauge at the water main) drops to about 30-35 psi, at 6 gpm it's at 20 psi, and 8 gpm is the max. Is there a code or recommendation that at what...

Normal to have great pressure drop from a full-flow faucet?

Recently I did some major pipe work with home plumbing and I noticed that when I open the outdoor faucet (it's a full-flow 3/4'' port), the pressure at the water main (I installed a pressure gauge right at where the city water comes in to my house through 3/4'' pipe) drops to 6 psi. Normal...

    Big blue filter leaking slowly

I installed a big blue filter today and I was having problem with water leaking between the housing and the sump. I also bought a spare one just in case so I tried it but it too had leak. The leak was a small stream after I hand tightened the sump, then it slowed to a drop after I tightened more...

Is there 1'' NPSM to 1'' NPT coupling?

I need to connect one end of Phyn Plus (1'' NPSM male thread) to a 1'' pipe (either MPT or FPT would work). Does such coupling exist? Water meter coupling is usually 1'' NPSM to 3/4'' NPT, I could use that with a 3/4'' to 1'' adapter, but I wonder if this can be done with a single coupling. Thanks!

Does this copper male street adapter exist? (3/4 M to 1 FTG)

I am looking for a 3/4'' male to 1'' FTG copper adapter, couldn't find such size on supplyhouse.

Couldn't get this angle stop to come off

I have an angle stop under the sink that started leaking recently, I tried to remove the nut but it didn't budge, from the picture can you tell if that thing is soldered onto the pipe? What's the easiest way for me to remove the angle stop? Edit: Okay, I removed it (just needed a bigger wrench...

Water filter system: phosphate before carbon?

I see several water filter systems sold by various venders (using the big blue) placed phosphate cartridge before carbon cartridge. My question is won't the carbon absorb the phosphate released before?

    iSpring spin-down filter pressure drop?

For those of you who have the iSpring spin-down filter in your system and happen to have pressure gauges, what's the pressure drop when it's clean? I can only find the data published by Rusco and their 1'' has about 1.7 psi drop at 5 GPM. I presume the iSpring is about the same since the design...

Water filter size and pressure drop

One would assume the bigger than filter and lower the pressure drop, however from the graph published by Pentek below, it seems the tall and thin (20''x2.5'') outperforms then tall and fat (20''x4.5'')...

Length of straight run before water meter?

My house water main pipe comes in from the basement ground, through a 90 degree elbow then into the meter, what's the proper length of straight pipe between the elbow and meter to ensure accuracy for the meter?

Fitting for adding a pressure gauge

If I want to add a pressure gauge (1/4'' MPT) to 1'' copper pipe, is the best way to use a 1'' x 1'' x 1/2'' FPT tee with a 1/2" x 1/4" MIP x FIP bushing? I am wondering if anyone makes a tee which I can directly thread the pressure gauge to, but I can't find any tee that's 1'' x 1'' x 1/4'' FPT.
