Just curious as to what you ended up doing? Did you have to break up the concrete?

I working on remodeling my shower. I have stripped it down but I am confused as to how to continue with the drain at this point. The drain is 2" cast iron. I am debating on either doing a new concreate pan and tile or maybe doing a solid shower base. My questions are do I need to jack hammer up...
