Hi, I have a Goulds JSO5 Jet shallow well pump that has gotten wet a few times due to flooding. It got a lot noisier than usual after the last storm mother nature sent our way. Is there any way to quiet it ? I have read that the motor bearings are probably the cause. Is it possible to replace them myself and what is the cost of having it done. Would it be cheaper to buy a new pump? Can any one suggest a quieter brand?

You changed the bearings in a motor since about Y2K? Not as easy as it once was. They started making them like everything else. "Disposable".
