We bought our house two years ago. I hate how long it takes for our water to heat up. All of our sinks are within 10 feet of the heater (it's a tiny place, 900 Sq ft). I grew up in a 1500 Sq ft house and never had this problem. Why does it take so long to heat from so close? The water heater is in the kitchen. And even the kitchen sink has to warm up.

Maybe your thermostat is set too low. Raise the temp, and if still having the problem, write back.
