Does anyone happen to know the service weight of a 150k ws1.5 progressive flow triplex system? I have the dry weight but can't find any service weight numbers. Engineers want to make sure that it doesn't end up in the basement....pffft....

I don't have an exact but I can guess. My guess will be on the high side.

Add 450 pounds of water to the equation. it will likely be a little less, I am assuming 85% of volume.

Thanks for your help. Clack came up with 16.8 gal void volume at 140.11 lbs and 31.5 freeboard volume at 262.71 lbs. Thought this may be useful for you at some point.

WAG at 450, scientific estimate at 410, I am a little surprised I was that close. :) The problem is figuring out the volume displaced by the medias as each media has different void calculations. The gravel size, and the resin size varies considerably that is why I always add about 10% more than my guestimate...

Is a 4" header sufficient for 12 gpm avg/30 gpm peak flow rates? Their company name should be Overkill Mechanical.

Serious old school work there. Am I seeing it correctly? They just drilled the holes in the 4" pipe then brazed the 2" drop downs? FYI, no flex lines, no tank warranty. :)

No system controller?

Yeah they pulled the drops and brazed. I've never used a controller. What is the benefit?
