I have a PRV that is roughly 8-9 years old. I have low water pressure in the house right now. When I first turn on a faucet it has what I would consider normal water pressure then drops to 75% I would say. I have called a couple of plumbers and they said due to the condition that the way my PRV looks it would be ok to try and turn it up. However I’ve read that you should only mess with the pressure after it’s been recently installed. What are your thoughts on this? Should I try turning it up or just have it replaced.
