Would you regard this as safe if properly bonded? I installed it this week and I'm supposed to get it connected tomorrow to the gas line but after doing more research I wish I would've went with TracPipe Counterstrike for the added protection against lightening. I plan to bond it to my water pipe before it the meter which is where my electrical system is also bonded.

My knowledge on gas connections is very limited, but I have read enough posts on this forum to offer this advise. First, you should consult with you local gas company. There may be some code restrictions in doing what you want to do, and if you go ahead and DIY, they may require it be redone by a licensed professional. Could cost you more in the long run. If the gas company gives you the green light, then go for it, but gas companies are known to be pretty fussy about connections to their lines. Just saying.
