Trying to get an definitive answer on this...maybe there isn't one.

I have a jacuzzi mito tub to install and was going to use plumbers putty until I saw you are not suppose to use on plastic or porous material...says to use siliconized acrylic tub and tile caulk.

What do the experts (i am not one!) use on these acrylic tubs?

thanks!

If you prefer to use putty for these types of installations, then there is a special type of putty called Sta Put® Ultra™ Putty that can be used when regular putty can't.

Follow the manufacturer's recommendations. As noted, there are now some 'no-stain' plumber's putty products available, but if you use it and have a problem when the tub manufacturer says not to, it's your problem, not theirs.
