Hi all,

I had a well drilled for a new house and the company went out of business. I'm trying to connect the pitless drop to the already installed pitless in the well casing. The one I bought has a 2" wide blade, but it looks like the one installed needs a 2 1/2" blade. Any ideas about what part number I need to order. From what I can see, the installed pitless has a blue color if that helps.

Thanks!

There are many different manufactures of pitless adapters and as far as I know none interchange, so you may find it easier and cheaper to just replace it.

While that is an option, I would have to dig a pit 10' deep and several feet wide to do that. If I can find a compatible pitless adapter part, it would be a 15 minute job vs. one that could take a couple days. I'm wondering if they installed a 1 1/4" (pipe) pitless. The one I bought is 1", and maybe that's all that is different. I wish I could find someone that worked at Whitewater Drilling in Colorado. They probably know exactly what model number I need.

I just had a thought. Would it be worthwhile to drop a camera down the pipe to see if I can get a good picture of it?

A good picture might be helpful. There have been many manufacturers of pitless adapters, and every one has used it's own design.

Another option would be to call local pump suppliers and see if they sold pitless adapters to your well driller.
Although most supply houses won't sell to homeowners, they might make an exception for you.
