okay here is my problem on christmas eve out of nowhere I turned the water on and nothing came out went all around the house and checked couldnt figure it out so then I went over and turned the faucet on the bottom of the pressure tank thinking that if no water came out we were having some type of well issue and at first it just trickled then all of a sudden water just shot out and no problems since until yesterday same thing all of a sudden no water only this time when I turned that faucet nothing but a trickle and then nothing so I left it alone since my brother in law said he would come check the points for me today so this morning after it being off for about 10 hrs I decided to go try one more time and still nothing so I figured just wait not 10 min later I heard all kinds of water running through the pipes and suddenly we have water again any ideas on what could be causing this? I cant figure it out. Any ideas on what to check would be greatly appreciated because at some point I figure this will happen and the water wont come back on Thanks

You may have a bad pressure switch or the 1/4" nipple tube going to it could be plugged causing it not to actuate right.

My one brother in law who replaced the points? ( a couple years ago) thats what he calls them said he thought it could be the line being clogged and it wouldnt call the pump for water he also had me check the contacts to see if they were closed I think they were but dont really know what I'm looking at to be sure and him and my husband are both away at work so they told me to call my other brother in law he said he would come help me today so I hoping he has a clue I actually thought maybe it was the pressure tank but he said I would have water just not any pressure if that were the case
