Hello,

I bought a used Aquativa Water Softener (TwinFlo 100e) twin tank system from my sister.
Unfortunately, I needed to replace the old timer with the new Fleck SXT Timer and having a hard time programming it.

Below is the info.
2 adults and 3 kids household
Municipal Water
Location = San Antonio, TX
Two resin tanks = 8 x 44 (24,000 grains each tank)
Brine tank = 18"x33"
0.5 GPM with 1.5 lb Salt/min
3/4 plumbing

Currently I program the timer below
DF = GAL
VT = dF1b
CT = FI
H = 20 (based on local installer from years ago)
NT = 2
C = 24,000
DO = 14
BD = 60 mins
BF = 15 mins
BW = 10 mins
RR = 10 mins

Are the settings above appropriate?
How much salt do I have to leave in the tank in order to have the system running efficiently?

I appreciate any helps and advice. Thanks!

Each tank 0.75 cuft of resin. For efficient 6 lb of salt/cuft,
C=15,000
BF=3 minutes.

C is down some, but BF is down a lot compared to your original numbers.

That is 4.5 pounds of salt, which is 6 pounds per cuft.

I did not look at the rest of your settings.

I like to tilt my salt level to have some salt sticking out of the water, and some water above some of the salt. Many put a lot more salt in to not have to visit the brine tank as often. If you overdo it, you can develop a salt bridge. I may under-do it. :)

I am not a pro.
