These are the stickers for my 5600SXT. Is this really an SXT? Double click pictures to enlarge.

Yes. I think it was built March 23, 2016.

The Fleck 5600 is the valve model whereas SE and SXT refer to the control head model.

While the large digital display appears to be the SXT control, it's odd that both labels indicate model 5600SE which the SE control is an an older model with a much smaller digital display. http://www.ilovemywater.com/uploads/manuals/manual132.pdf

I take-it that your softener is a 0.75 cuft (24,000 grain) unit?

Looking at your other thread, you indicate your softener size is 1.25 cuft. That size softener would utilize a 10" diameter tank which should utilize 2.4 gpm drain flow to achieve the required amount of backwash and resin bed expansion.

I had asked about your unit being 0.75 cuft since 1.5 gpm drain flow is specified which is appropriate for an 8" diameter tank.

I just got off the phone with Pentair Fleck. They attest this is a 5600 SXT. The labels refer to the board type, that is, a 5600SE. The technician didn't even want have me email him the pictures. However, he asked what is the display color - I said blue. He said that is a 5600SXT. Then he asked how many buttons - I said three. Again he said it is a 5600SXT. He also said I have a 5600 SXT since the 5600SE has a red display.

Post the dimensions of your tank and the number of people using water or other way of estimating your water use, on your other thread. We could then check your settings.

Keeping your 8 minute fill with C=31, I think I would go this way:

System info (not programmed)
salt lb/cuft = 9.6 ; A choice ( efficiency vs capacity)
BLFC = 0.5 ; Brine Refill rate GPM
cubic ft resin = 1.25 ; ft3 resin = (nominal grains)/32,000
Raw hardness = 18 ; including any compensation
People = 2 ; gallons affects reserve calc
Estimated gal/day = 180 ; 60 gal per person typical calc
Estimated days/regen = 9.6 ; Computed days ignoring reserve

Fleck 5600SXT Settings:

DF = Gal ; Units
VT = dF1b ; Downflw/Upflw, Single Backwash
CT = Fd ; Meter Delayed regen trigger
NT = 1 ; Number of tanks
C = 31.0 ; capacity in 1000 grains
H = 18 ; Hardness-- compensate if needed
RS = rc ; rc says use gallons vs percent
RC = 180 ; Reserve capacity gallons
DO = 7 ; Day Override
RT = 2:00 ; Regen time (default 2 AM)
BW = 5 ; Backwash (minutes)
Bd = 60 ; Brine draw minutes
RR = 5 ; Rapid Rinse minutes
BF = 8 ; Brine fill minutes
FM = t0.7 ; flow meter

LOL, just one of the minor quirks, the 5600SXT is still internally called the SE in much of internal workings. It is the SXT, the SE was discontinued and replaced with the greatly improved SXT many years ago. Basically, take a sharpie and relabel it an SXT. :)
