Hunter Pump Start Relay 22

My Hunter Pump Start Relay #22 was making a very load 'rattling'. I hit the controller box with my hand and it stopped for a few moments and then started making the same noise again. I had to kill the power to my pump controller to silence the relay. Any ideas about the cause, and do I need to replace the pump start relay?
