I have an old sink that I want to incorporate in a potting bench I'm building, but I can't figure out how to remove the drain. Is my only solution to cut it off ?

I could unscrew it fairly easily, but cannot TELL you how to do it. Since you have the sink out anyway, just cut through it even with the bottom fo the sink.

If you have a sawzall, it makes this job a breeze. Caution: don't shave any of the white sink skin off.
