How to fit deck mount faucet on pedestal tub?

Hi all, I purchased a Jado Savina deck mount tub faucet. The center-to-center measurement is 6". However, when I look for a cast iron tub with pre-drilled holes for deck-mount faucets, they are all 7" or 8" center-to-center. When I called Jado customer service, they said 6" is their standard and they said they have no adapters. It is so strange since this faucet is styled for vintage looking tubs...

So how do i get it to fit? Is there an easy solution? or would I have to buy a tub without holes and drill the cast iron (sounds like it would be difficult)?

Did you check with the tub manufacturer - maybe they have a line of faucets too.
