How much resin does a 8x40 tank need?

8" x 35" takes 0.64 cu. ft.
8" x 44" takes 0.75 cu. ft.

So probably between those limits. I don't know what Kinetico uses. Scaling those numbers, the ratios between those differ from simple scaling. So using two methods and averaging, I would think about 0.7 cuft would be my fairly reasonable estimate.

8x40 is .63 ft3 with a 50% freeboard (1/2 the height of the resin) when you take the domes out of the equation. The dome will hold another .05 ft3)
