We had are pipes snaked, and when they took off the cap for the clean out they stripped the threads on the cap and on the clean out stack. So i was wondering if theres a way to leave the cast iron stack and and put on a pvc cap? is there a sleeve that will go into the clean out and then i can screw the cap back on??

Thanks
Morgan

I think they make plugs that you can basically hammer in (I think they are made of lead). You'd need a new one the next time.

A Lead Fit All is probably a good choice.

They DID NOT strip the threads. They were already gone/destroyed before they removed the plug, which is why the probably had a hard time doing it. The lead plugs are screwed in and they make their own threads to grip whatever is left of yours.
