    Over drywall and a cbu, you really need to wash the walls down to remove both the dust and to premoisten the boards...both of them can suck a lot of moisture out of the thinset quickly, and significantly affect the bond strength. Some porous tile can have problems with that, too. NOt an issue with a porcelain, but then getting it to stick well begs burning in a layer on the back.

    GreenSkin Shear Testing - 2"x2" set over GreenSkin over Drywall Failed - 42.59 lbs
