Do faucet, soap dispenser and garbage disposal air switch require the same size hole in the countertop?

Not always, but they often end up that way. Sometimes, it works out better if they are a bit more optimized as then, they don't tend to move around, which can happen if the mounting nut gets a little loose. It can be a bear to make the hole bigger later if you change to a different item that needs to be mounted. This is mostly related to things like accessories...most faucets use a standard sized hole.
