Im in the process of replacing a drain pipe under a bathroom sink. All is going well except where the new pipe meets the old at the floor joint. The old sticks up about a half inch from the floor and needs to be soddered to the new. So I cleaned the new chrome pipe down to the copper but the old pipe is where I am having trouble. I can not seem to get it to shine up, I am using emery cloth, the pipe itself is still solid not worn out just gunked up inside. Do I buy one of those 4 in one tools, or can I get some sort of glue epoxy. There may be some sodder on both pipes from my failed attempt can I still get these pipes clean enough to sodder? Thanks in advance Franko
