Crack in Fiberglass Tub

I have a hairline crack that runs about 7 - 9 inches and it flexes and opens up when I step on it. (I know... don't step on it) . This shower enclosure from around 1986. This in on my second floor bathroom and the first fl bath is under remodel and will be for a while so I do not want to do anything drastic immediately - like rip and replace. Are these types of cracks repairable or should I break our the gorilla tape and prayer book - who'd do this kind of thing - i.e. what kind of contractor?

WHile it took a number of years to break, this is why the 'optional' mortar base is so important on tubs/showers that can flex. It would have prevented this from happening.

If you're planning a remodel down the road soon, I'd just Gorilla tape it and pray.

Repairs may be possible, but I think it would be costly and appearances may not be great...but I don't know that for certain. Any repair would likely be compromised if the pan couldn't be properly supported to prevent flex.

Makes sense to me . the crack area flexes more than a politician negociating 5 different bills. In the not so long term there's only one answer. Thanks for your input.
