I've been trolling here awhile but this is my first post. I would really appreciate y'alls opinion on my plans. We live in the Texas Hill Country and have a 740' deep well that is testing positive for coliform bacteria despite the well being shock chlorinated multiple times. The shocking eliminates the bacteria, but only for 1 - 3 months and the shocking causes other complications.

After considering several options we've decided to install a chlorine pump and use a 500 gal poly storage tank instead of a contact tank. The tank will be filled by the existing well pump controlled by a float switch. A booster pump controlled by the pressure switch will pressurize the pressure tank and the house. We have an existing softener and an under the counter RO that we use for drinking and cooking.

I've never worked with contactors or transformers (other than a doorbell) before, but I have a friend who is a pro that can check my work. Here is my wiring diagram:

A much simpler solution would be to install a UV Light.
That is true, but we have some additional problems with our water that I did not mention. We have some red iron and very high sulphur and fluoride to name a few. I've read that such things can cause problems with a UV system, but I have no experience with them. We are talking about adding UV after everything else to remove any Chlorine residual but we have not decided for sure.

Project is finished, and everything is working beautifully. Thank you for all the help I've received on this forum. I saved several thousand dollars doing this myself. Here are some pics.
