Hey guys,

I'm in the process of remodelling my master bath and found a vent pipe buried in a wall which needs to come down. This is the main vent pipe which runs up through the roof. I would like to move it over 1 bay of floor joist. The pipe does not run vertical to the basement, it actually goes about 15 ft horizontal and then vertically through another wall to the basement. I've attached a PDF drawing to illustrate. My question is, will my proposal work or is there a better solution?

Thanks for any help.
