Sink is Leaking!!!

Help! My bathroom sink leaks out of a hole in the bottom when I fill it with water. It seems to be draining fine and the overflow is working allright. What are those two "extra" holes on the bottom and does anyone have an idea why water is coming out of them? Thanks for your help.

Most molded porcelain objects have such holes, usually related to the mold process, and to prevent pressure bulges in the firing process. But if water is coming out, it is probably a crack internally somewhere.
