Aquia One Piece Toilet - buttons are sinking!

In December we had an Aquia One Piece Toilet (MS654114MF) installed and over the past few weeks the buttons have receded further and further into the cover. It's become necessary to open the cover to fully operate the flush mechanism. What's up with that?

They are adjustable. Just remove the cover, make the adjustment, and snug it up.
