Hi,
I am in the middle of installing a new bathtub overflow drain.
The bottom part is done and has no leaks as I tested.

The vertical part of the overflow pipe is too wide to connect to the bathtub. Any suggestion?
Can I use a pipe to connect to it?

Thanks in advance.

If what you are trying to say is that the opening on the tub is too small for that drain assembly to work because the screw holes are too wide, then you could try a cable drain sized for that tub height. Cable drains by Geberit/ Maax and others are made for various sized vertical height measurements and use a whole different style of overflow attachment.

Sorry. The title is somewhat misleading.
The distance between overflow pipe to the tube is too wide. I have tried to bent the pipe very hard in order to connect. But it did not work.
I will take a look at Geberit/Maax parts.

yes you are hard to understand . You need to move the p trap where it belongs so the overflow fits and cyt the shoe piece or adjust inward . or use a glue yup type waste and overflow commonly called a "rapid fit " or look at a you tube video how to hook up a tub drain something like that , takes too many words to explain like explaining how to tie a shoe

I totally did not understand the op nomenclature.
You (original poster) need to start with the trap being correctly placed. You have no understanding of plumbing and I suggest you hire someone who knows what they are doing...
