Hello!
Our stems were really bad on our tub so we bought the rebuild kit to replace them. The guys at home depot recommended the kit. Everything was going smoothly until we got to the diverter... now it isn't properly installing. Hardly any water comes out and the rebuild kit has nothing more that simple instruction diagram. I took out the diverter and even put the old one in and it has the same problem. The new diverter is not fully diverting, sealing or even staying. We tried to test it and it came right out of the wall... water everywhere. My main concern or guess is that maybe the body valve behind the wall might be stripped or the threads are gone. I really really hope that I am wrong. Any second opinions?

I just put the old diverter back in and it is a snug fit. Maybe the replacement one in the kit is too small? Either way, even with the snug fit I am not getting too much in waterflow from the shower head.
