Cleaned the brine tank, Now no soft water?

So now there's water in the brine tank and softener seems to be working ok although not as soft as it used to. The water is now also above the salt line (about a bit more than half of the tank is water). Do I just add more salt bags till the water is under the salt? Thanks!

Cleaned the brine tank, Now no soft water?

Hi! Thanks for the replies. Yes before I cleaned the system we enjoyed the softened water. I just decided to clean the brine tank after seeing the murky stranded water which was about 1/3 of the tank. Right now when I look at it, I don't see any water in the tank anymore. Unless it's at the...

Cleaned the brine tank, Now no soft water?

So this Saturday I decided to clean my brine tank after seeing stranded murky water in the brine tank. I put the system on bypass, removed the power on the system and got on with the clean up. I took apart the brine tank and just jumped whatever it had (powdered salt, murky water etc). Washed...

    Recommend a sub-$100 1/2 HP garbage disposal.

What do you mean hj? I am closely considering the Badger 5 (or V). Are you saying the value is much greater than $60 considering its performance? I saw one at home depot for $69.98. I currently have a 1/3 HP unit in there. Thanks!

    Recommend a sub-$100 1/2 HP garbage disposal.

Thanks! I saw some brand like Kitchen Aid, Whirpool and GE. Dunno if with regards to disposals there's like the top brand that contractors/plumbers prefer to use.

    Recommend a sub-$100 1/2 HP garbage disposal.

Hi! I just thought I'd get people's opinions on a below-$100 in-sink-erator. I am having my countertops redone and I thought about replacing the sink and garbase disposal as well. I have the sink all picked out. I just need some recommendation on the insinkerator. I saw a Badger 5 from HD...

Reglazing a fiberglass tub. Which technique lasts more? Better?

Still no advice? Cmon guys, I know you're all for replacing the tub. It just didn't make sense in this situation as the tub is fairly new. I just need help in deciding which of the 2 to get. Is there any difference in results between the 2 approaches? Thanks!!

Reglazing a fiberglass tub. Which technique lasts more? Better?

Hi! I saw quite a few reglazing threads here but none talked about my question. I had my guest bath remodeled recently and since the shower tub is still almost new, I decided to keep it and planned on having it just reglazed. This is also a guest bath anyway and I wanted to reduce my costs...
