we have a basement bath and the drains go to a up-flush pit, What I was wondering is, is the a/c drain suppose to go there too ?
I can not count the number of mess' I have cleaned up when the pump decides to quit, and all that come up the drain to the a/c drain.
Myself I wouldn't thing so, but all I get is s--- from the people who come to fix it.
Anybody got any ideas on this.
Thanks, Glenn1959

Depends on where and how it is attached. Yes, it can go into the pit, but it sounds like it attaches to the outgoing pipe and is therefore pressurized? Maybe post a picture or a sketch as to how is is currently attached, and the pros can guide you on how to prevent that from happening again.
