buying a new tub. The existing drain in floor is 15" off of the stub, measued to the side of the tub. The new tub drain would be 14.5" plus i plan to notch the wall stub 1/4". So the tub drain would be 1" off center of the floor drain. do they have a certain type of drain to buy for this this situation?

The elbow in your tub drain kit can be aimed to the offset existing ptrap. To finish the connection of the overflow a 45 degree fitting can be used. drain.jpg
