Hi.
I'm swapping out the taco 007 pump on my old gas boiler. The new one they sold me has a newer style of flange with an inset rubber ring seal, and the old flanges are pretty much flat with maybe some kind of gasket material. Can I just clean up the old flanges on the boiler and install the new one as is with the big fat rubber ring, or should I just replace the motor and cartridge. Unfortunately already have the old pump out so there is no labor to be saved with the plain motor swap.
