I knew what I needed, but couldn't quite figure out the install...did I do this right?

Yea that's purrrrrfect, Uh not. Spin it around 180 degrees and find yourself an F&M plate although if that concrete is a vertical wall the hanger is all but useless in that position.

Ouch!

It is a vertical wall. I want to brace it so something doesn't bang into the pipe and break the pipe...what should I have used? What is an f&p plate?

It is not how I would have done it, but there is nothing wrong with it. If those are ground clamps on either side of the meter, they should have been attached to the elbows, NOT the copper tubing.

They're on the brass nipples of the meter, which is actually not as good either. I'll move them. Good catch.
