Hi,

I need to replace a shower valve and trim. I have no problems with the work, but ...

I removed the trim from the old valve (Brizo Vesa) and the hole that was drilled through the fiberglass shower is 7.5" diameter. Of course the only shower trim kits I can find are about 7", so there's a big gap. I ordered a Delta 17 valve with a square trim plate before I saw the size of the existing hole. The square is probably a no-go now. Is there ANY way to add a plate or whatever and make any (round or square, moen or delta) trim work out with a new valve? Oh, and a house full of guests come in 8 days.

Thanks for any help!
