I just installed a new sand point, it is down 24 ' . I measured the water in the pipe and I have 7' of water in the pipe. I know I have a good tight suction without any air leaks. The pump is new also, I have water flow but it takes awhile to pump the tank full. I have a 80 gal. tank. Someone told me at first it takes awhile to get the water to draw to the point and it will get better over time. Is this true and it will get better?

Thank You!

Is this a new well,or point replacement? A new well takes a while to develope.
Now My experiance was 7 wells I put in My homes in Cape Cod Mass.
This mostly a sand area. And these were driven points
