Would like some of you guys to give me your opinion for a bathroom heater. The current sysytem is a 240VAC, single phase, 1.5k Watt, Dayton wall heater with an external thermostat. The heater is in a bathroom, maybe 80 sq ft, at my cottage in Northern Michigan. This heater runs all winter, with thermostat set at 49 degrees. All of my plumbing is drained back to the bathroom, so this is the only room in the cottage that is heated during the fall and winter months.
The Heater is Dayton 2E435 and is probably pushing 50 years old. I have replaced the heating element and fan motor, but it has been probably 10 years now. GREAT HEATER, never had a single problem with it, but parts are no longer available. So, do I put in a new model of Dayton wall heater or would a electric baseboard heater be worth looking into? Or maybe something else??
