I am trying to remove the sleeve from this hansgrohe Ecostat shower to replace the mixing valve. The manual indicates the sleeve should just slide off however I'm unable to remove it even when applying alot of force. Am I missing something or is it likely some corrosion/water damage that has made it so difficult to remove? Any suggestions on how to proceed are appreciated.
